As per the United States criminal law, a custodial interrogation is simply a situation in which the suspected individuals liberty of moving is being restricted, even if he or she is not under arrest. Usually custodial interrogation can take a form of an official questioning the suspected party some direct questions based on what they do think or it can simply be comments or actions taken by the officer (Yeager, 1990). However, in such situations the official should be aware that he might be receiving some incriminating responses.
